Protagonists
Wade
Wade is the main character. His parents died a long time ago so he lives with his aunt and step-uncle. He spends all his time in the Oasis and is a big James Halladay fan.
Aech
Aech is Wade's best friend, they met in the Oasis and spent a long time there together. Aech hid the fact that she was a woman for a long time but eventually she revealed herself to Wade.
Sho
Sho is a young kid and is Japanese. He met Daito, his brother in arms, in the Oasis and they were close for a very long time, until Daito died.
Artemis
Artemis is a woman who spends all her time in the Oasis and is spending all her time in there. She is the woman Wade falls in love with.
Daito
Daito is a side character who is about as old as Wade and he is Japanese. He met Sho in the Oasis and they became brothers in arms. When both of them were in the Oasis on a quest Daito was murdered by IOI in real life.
Antagonists
Nolan Serento
Nolan Serento is someone who used to be James Hallady's assistant the creator of the oasis, the virtual world everyone lives in) who was turned into a sociopathic maniac set out on controlling the oasis completely.
IOI
IOI is the corporation that is mostly controlled by Nolan Serento and is looking to help claim control of the Oasis for money.
