The Danube River
- It begins in the Black Forest region (Germany) and flows across central Europe. It borders Romania and Bulgaria and then ends in the Black Sea.
- It is a significant commercial waterway because it has been the chief route between central and southeastern Europe for a long time.
- It is the second longest river in Europe (1,771 m or 2,850 km)
- It flows through 10 countries= Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova and Ukraine
