FQ: Why is the aspect of love between the supernatural and humans portrayed in the media marketed towards young women?

Girlhood & the Supernatural: They go hand in hand. In shows and movies, the protagonist is usually a teenage girl is lacks experience (sexually) and is a sign of purity. They usually attract the bad things, the Supernatural beings, but is also attracted to them. (We could provide some examples from movies and television shows that contribute to this idea.)

Our human nervous system likes a good scare one in a while. That's why we want to experience stimulation through movies, tv shows and games.
A lot of the supernatural troupes are overplayed, is this what causes less interest for adults, and why teens grow out of these interest and beliefs?
Maybe its because they realize they have other commitments. When we are teenagers/kids, we don't have much to worry about (respectively to the youthful stereotype). We are able to think about a fantasy world with beings that "don't exist".

So maybe the fascination has to do with money??? Maybe the younger audience doesn't know about the economic gain these shows are getting. It's subconscious

Children (mainly teens) play a game called the ouija board that casts demonic entites and supernatural entities
People like the cliché love story. Appeals to the people's emotions. Creates this single story of what love is.
Supernatural are like our "fairy godmothers/fairy godfathers" They help us find ourselves and vice versa
Connection: Julie and the Phantoms; Julie lost interest in music after her mother passed, but the Phantoms (Luke, Alex, and Reggie) helped her gain that interest back and she helped them with finding their "unfinished business."
Supernatural is in popular fairy tales: Cinderella, Princess and the Frog, etc.
