ANSWERING THE SBC QUESTION!
As we look at the picture and observe how the two children featured are sporting such painfully thin ankles, which shows, probably, that they might be malnutritioned and that the lack of a good pair of shoes might not be their only struggle. In fact, as we look at how dirty their feet are, it looks like they may not have been able to wash / shower in some time, and this again, suggests to us that hygiene might not even be a priority in their situation! This means, possibly, that they might be facing food shortages and may not have access to clean water, which then should be preciously used for drinking and cooking. In this case, I really hope that the poster and this Donation Drive will encourage more residents to be even more generous with their giving, since they, too, might also observe the same clues we discussed above, and hopefully,
their hearts touched by the beneficiaries and how they are struggling in their lives.
The daily struggles
Not having shoes and walking all around on unpaved, rocks- and gravel-covered roads will mean that these children as well as the adults in that land must be suffering from many cuts daily as they move in search of water and food, and these cuts, before they have a chance to heal, will be cut further the next day.
