There aren't many effective guidelines about GIA dispersement, which is a little frustrating to me. I try to evenly spread the funding across different areas (e.g. Rec, Health, Seniors, etc). But it's pretty much informal how I do that ... and there's lots of opportunity to work with applicants to ensure they're applying for the right thing and the right amount. I'd also really like to see it be transparent who applies, but so far we relly just see the applicants from each area that are recommended for approval (not the ones that didn't get that far). It'd be good to change that eventually, I think.
