        Families from the nobility started marrying some members of the upper bourgeoisie
        
        Because some became wealthier than the nobles
        
        In exchange the bourgeoisie made them renounce some of their privileges

        All types of artisans, servants and labourers
        
        Small merchants
        
        They formed the biggest group in the cities
        
        This group gained power during the Early Modern Age, but it didn't reach the same level as the nobility until the end of the Early Modern Age
