        Significal differences:
        
        The upper bourgeoisie
        
        Important merchants, bankers and officials
        
        Lived in richly decorated urban places
        
        With the city nobles, formed the ruling class, the most powerful and influential group
        
        The petite bourgeoisie
        
        Small merchants, less important officials, all types of artisans, artist, serbants and labourers
        
        Formed the largest group
        
        Lived in humble houses in building with several floors
        
        Some bourgeoisie became more wealthier than the nobles, as a result, family from nobles began marrying into the richest family
        
        Demanded an end to the privileges enjoyed by the nobility and the clergy
        
        It not pay so many taxes and have access to all political positions
        
        Gained more rights, but did not reach the same level as the nobility
