Story Line
Day One - Evening

Driving a rest met a thin man, and in the recommendation of the man ascended the hillside to enjoy the scenery

Day Two Morning

Miss Kenton pointed out Mr Stevens Senior's mistake, but Mr Stevens do not think it is a big matter

Mr Stevens Senior fell down while carrying a plate. Darlington then spoke to Mr Stevens and agreed that his father was not as good as he used to be, and very important guests will be arriving soon. Mr Stevens has also rearranged his father's job

For Mr Stevens, he do not agree with Farraday's decision, however, he is just an employee, he chose hide his emotion even in front of Miss Kention

Miss Kenton strongly disagree with Darlington's decision, and also not satisified with Stevens' behavior. She threatened Stevens with her own departure, but it didn't work. What's more, Stevens and Kenton have confilct because of this event.
One year after two ladies been dimissed, Darlington want to give conpensation to them, he knows that his dicision was wrong.
Mr Stevens satire Miss Kenton that she still in Darlington Hall, she did not observe her threaten word. After Miss Kenton knew Stevens' real thought, she break out, she can not bear Mr Stevens because he always pretending himself.
Miss Kenton decide keep Lisa in Darlington Hall. Indeed, she become a very good servant , however, few month later, she fall in love with another male servant in Darlington Hall and they both leave together.
Temporarily live in Taylors house it is because his Ford run out of petrol and all the other hotel are full of guests.
Miss Kenton ask Mr Stevens what book is he looking, seems Mr Stevens do not want to show her, but at last Miss Kenton know that Stevens is looking at a sentimental love story
Taloys tell their neighbour that Stevens is in their house and give Stevens good things to eat to show their hospiality

Day Four Evening
Author is telling readers that Mr Darlington actually not a good person, he just a tool be used by Nazi
Mr Stevens realize this, but he do not want to have any change. He still lie to himself, serve Lord Darlington

Miss Kenton telling Mr Stevens she is going to get married, it is her last struggle to detainment Mr Stevens. However, Mr Stevens is numb and not to be swayed
During Mr Cardinal's keep asking, Mr Stevens still avioding face the truth
Day Six Evening
Mr Stevens pays meticulous attention to Mrs Kenton, he still very interested in Mrs Kenton
He recall that Mrs Kenton do not have a good marrage in that conversation. However, he still do not do any other thing instead of stay aside

Lrod Darlington died three years ago before the conversation, Mr Stevens finally realized that he may do something that is not good, but that's it.
Now, Mr Stevens still work in Darlington Hall, but with a different employeer Mr Farraday, an American.
