Ionic Bonding- When metals react with non-metals in a chemical reaction, ions are only formed of overall energy change is favourable.
Matallic Bonding - Between two metals, Giant lattice structure of metal cations in a sea of delocalised electrons.
Bohr's Theory
-
When an atom is excited electrons jump to higher energy levels and when they drop back down to lower levels they emit the extra energy as electromagnetic radiation- Emission Spectrum
When white light passes through a relatively cool gaseous element black lines appear on the absorption spectra, corresponds to light that has been absored by the atoms in the sample- Absorption Spectrum

Water of Crystallisation
Water fitted within a lattice in regular manner. Crystals are hydrated and when heated the water of crystallisation is removed as steam leaving the anhydrous solid.
