Methods to Develop Speed
-
(1) Acceleration Runs: It is usually adopted to develop speed from stationary position . Generally he/ she should take the rest of 4 to 5 minutes in between the runs.
(2) Pace Runs or Races : Pace races means running the whole distance of a race at a constant speed. Ex- 800 m and above races.
Passive Flexibility : Ability to do movement with greater distance with external help. Ex- Stretching exercises with the help of a partner.

Dynamic Stretching Method : If an event requires a dynamic movement, it is suitable to conduct dynamic Stretching exercises.

(7) Differentiation Ability : High level of this ability depends on experienced movement and the degree of mastery over motor action.

(6) Adaptation Ability : It is the ability to adjust or change the movement effectively on the basis of changes .
