Peers: a person who is the same age or has the same social position or the same abilities as other people in a group. (Cambridge Dictionary)

Expert: A person that is specialized in a spesific subject. An expert has the required knowledge in his area.

With the rise in the number of fake news and unreliable headlines, people started to use the term fake news for honest mistakes, legitimate news that they don't trust. this easy accusation situation created the habit of believing that the only right opinion is the person's opinion.

Ambiguity: the state of having more than one meaning and being open to interpretation. For example, politicians speak ambiguously to draw the attention of more people.

Misinformation, disinformation and fake news
Misinformation: False information which unintentionally spread. Many people without second thought accept misinformation as if they are true. ın order to prevent misinformation, detailed research should be done.
Bot: an automated computer programme that is used to spread posts, information, etc.
Disinformaiton: False information which spread intentionally. With disinformation, lies and propaganda can be spread.
Confirmation bias: the tendency to believe evidence that supports your opinions which leads to delusion.
Viral: spreading or becoming popular very quickly through communication from one person to another, especially on the internet. (Cambridge Dictionary)
Echo chamber: a space in which sound reverberates. In the context of politics, a created environment which consists of the same idea, beliefs. People with the same perspective gather and reinforce their ideas as well as creating even a bigger delusion

Fake news: Fake news can be used in order to earn money or for political issues. As mentioned in the TOK coursebook this news can lead the community to chaos.
