The social dimension of tourism has been given less attention as compared to environmental impact of tourism.

Implement these 4 Es to develop more sustainable forms of tourism
- Equal Opportunities employees involved in tourism and industry and tourists
- Equity ensuring that all stakeholders are treated fairly.
- Equal Partners namely, tourists tourist treating who serve them as equal partners not as inferiors.
- Ethics tourism industry being honest with tourist and ethical in its dealing with suppliers, and destination government being ethical towards their host population and tourist

-Improvement in the quality of museums -Greater attention paid to conservation by local communities and public sector bodies.

-Greater interest in conserving traditional languages if they are seen as an attraction for tourists. Tourist might try to speak in local language.

-Growth in respect for the host community's religion from tourists. Understanding on how local communities perform their worship.
- Religion
-Development of new markets for traditional crafts and arts form, such as Wau Bulan and Keris.
- Traditional Arts
-Increased awareness of lifestyles elsewhere in the world. For example, dress code for each local communities are different to another countries.
- Traditional Lifestyles
-Adopt positive aspects of tourist values and behavior such as in the case of the treatment of animals.
- Values and Behavior
In-migration of dynamic people to live and/or work in the community.

-Artefacts was stole by tourists - Construction of building using non-architectural style
- Heritage
-Introduction of foreign words into vocabulary can make local communities use that words than their local words.

-Loss of spiritually at religious sites that become dominated by tourists. At the same time, worshiper there cannot focusing on their prayer.

-Pressure to replace traditional crafts with other products which tourists demand. It will lead to the extinction of the traditional crafts.

-Dressing with a new styles that similar to the tourists.

-Reduce level of personal morality, - Growth in crime.

-Domination of the community by immigrants from outside the community. The immigrants at the early comes for travel and then stay longer even their passport are no longer valid.

Under social dimension of tourism, there is also has 'Sex Tourism' where a man use a services/ looking for a sex with female prostitute at a destination of tourism. It could be planned or unplanned.
The nature and scope of sex tourism
A man having a sex with female prostitute while on business in a destination, with own choice of that female prostitute.
A man taking business trips to a destination in intension of having a sex with female prostitute who are not involved in prostitution by choice, but by forced.
A man taking trips to a destination in intention to use the services of female prostitute.
A man taking trips to a destination in intention of having a sex with female prostitute from local community.
A man taking trips to a destination for having a sex with children of the same/opposite sex.
A woman travelling to a destination in intention of paying to have sex with local man.
There is also a woman that travel to a destination and offering a sex service to local man, then local man paying to female prostitute.
The hedonistic young tourist travel to a destination with desire to have a sex with their new partners.
All of these forms of sex tourism have disadvantages relation to sustainable tourism, ranging from the risk of sexually transmitted diseases to the oppression and exploitation of powerless children
Host-Guest Relationship-Key to Success or Disaster
Tourists are often segregated (get no time to spend their time with local community) from local people and spend most of their time in and around tourism facilities with other tourists
Tourists are under pressure to enjoy a wide variety of experiences in a short time period which may make them very irritated if any delays occur.
Tourist tend to be superficial ( fake to make relationship )
Host-tourist tend to lack spontaneity, they are often formalized and planned.
