Cascade Project Management
This policy allows for Cascade's IT team to better serve the company by setting up a system to collect, evaluate, and prioritize requests.
How will the policy be measured for success
There will be documentation of all the submissions and then tracking on how far along the process was along and who was involved.
The program will allow each project to be measured for time spent on the tasks and will make sure that each step is taken.
Several levels of management can check the overall status and make sure things are being done timely.
Policy Details
There will be three levels of types of inquires that can be submitted to the IT team. One for help on basic technical issues, one of upgrades or issues with existing software and one for new program developement..
Inquires should be submitted by manager or supervisors only
Technical problems will include issues with computers, printers or internet access not working. I would also submit a ticket to this division if a manager needs new computer access set up for new employees or disabled for leaving employees.
Request for software issue will be deployed to the appropriate employee who is part of that software's group. i
Any request for new program development or existing program development will be deployed to a project manager and they will assess.
Who the policy applies too
Employees - employees will have to let a supervisor or manager if they are having any issue with their system or software so they can submit a ticket.
Manager and supervisor- they will submit any requests. They will also have to work on deciding what programs are needed to make their department run smoother
IT department - they will be assigned tasks to work on based on the submissions
IT project manager - they will have to determine priorities and task flow for their team.
IT executives - they must support the implementation of this process and make sure to support it.
Who is responsible
Based on the submission, the project manager or manager will assign responsibility to a tech or developer and make sure that tasks are getting done in an appropriate t amount of time.
How will the policy be implemented
All request must be submitted via the program. This will make sure that all requests are monitored and watched for completion.
