European countries take over a bunch of African and Asian countries
using force they exploited them causing an expansion.

Definition
when an imperial or central power takes direct control over the legislature
Who were the ones who used this rule?
The French used this system in several countries such as
Algeria, Tunisia, and Morocco in North Africa, etc.
France tried to maintain this highly centralized system, in some parts of its colonies.
They were forced to adopt the policy of partnership, a system of government that operated in alliance with pre-existing African institutions and leaders.
Why did europe want to expand? And why Africa?

Indirect rule
The governor was responsible to the colonial office, the colonial secretary in London, policies, and programs were received. The system had three major institutions:

collected revenues to pay for the local administrative staff and services
native courts
administered "native law and custom"
traditional legal system of the colonized
