Typhoon Haiyan
Introduction
Typhoon Haiyan was a typhoon that passed over the Philippines from East to West on the 8th November 2013. it was a category 5 storm on the Saffir-Simpson scale which is the highest possible. at the eye of the storm the wind speeds reached over 120km per hour
The tropical storm had winds as high as 314kmph, waves as high as 15 meters and 400 milliliters of rain flooded 1 kilometer inland. 90% of Tacloban was destroyed.
