RULE 2
Singular indefinite pronoun antecedents must be used whit singular pronouns.
Plural indefinite pronoun antecedents must be used with plural pronouns.
Plural: Both like their cars.
singular: Any girl seemed like she wanted.
RULE 4
If a compound subjetc is joined by or/nor the pronoun needs to agree with antecedent closest to the pronoun.
Neither the Miss nor the students went to their school.

Compound subjects joined by and always use plural pronoun.
Michelle and Mary love their moms.

A phrase or clause between the subject and verb does not change the number of the antecedent.
Michelle,as well as her friends, is happy for the party.

Plural form subjects with a singular meaning take a singular pronoun.
The Avengers made its way to the movies world.

Every cat and dog eats its own food.

Some nouns which name groups can be either singular or plural, depending upon their meaning in individual sentences.

The gender of the pronoun masculine,feminine or neuter must be the same as the gender of its antecedent.
Singular: A football player would like his or her name to be known around the world.
Plural: Football players would like their names to be known around the world.
