Habitat: big stones or sharp gravel in water with lots of oxygen they stay away from still water.

Habitat: Clam bodies of water, Marsh, Slow Moving waterways and ditches in warm places.
Bush giant dragonfly
Habitat: in western parts of each island and especially the West Coast. There found in damp areas of native forest.
Pray: Rats, Kingfishers, and sometimes wasps.

Habitat: Long fin Eels live in rivers, lakes and wetlands until they leave to Tonga to breed
Food: insect larvae, worms and also water snails.
Description: Long fin Eels are one of the largest eels in the world. There able to live on land for up to 2 days they breath through there skin to do this. They also hide on boulders and logs
short fin eels
Habitat: They live in lakes, dams and coastal rivers of southeastern Australia, New Zealand, and South Pacific, including New Caledonia, Norfolk Island, Howe Island, Tahiti, and Fiji.
Food: insect larvae,worms and water snails. The same as the long fined eel.
Description: the short fin eel, is one of the 15 species of eel of the family Anguilladue.
