Why should Christians study History?
The first and most important reason why we should study History is that we can learn from our ancestor's mistakes. Also, the Bible commands us that we should not forget what had happened to the world. The Bible is also a history book, and God commands us to hear and learn from His words.
Just war theory
Was the war against the Tarquins a just War?
I think it would be. It completed all 5 of the criteria of a Just War.
There are 5 criteria for fighting a just war.
It must be declared by a legitimate authority.
It must be waged for a just cause. There are 5 just causes to wage a war.
a) To write a public wrong
b) To punish a public evil
c)To reclaim something that is stolen
d) To prevent a nation from attacking your nation.
e) Self defence
Must be fought in a proportionate manner
It must be fought as a last resort
It must be rightly intended
If it breaks one of these criteria or all of them (as is most of the time the case) then it is not a just war.
The just war theory was founded around 400 A.D by Augustine of Hippo
The pro's and con's of a two counsul goverment
Pros:
You can split the work of ruling a country over two people
If the one makes a bad DICICION the other can fix it or prevent it.
You might be able to rule more effectively
The one can rest while the other rules.
Cons
History has proven that two rulers rarely agree on things.
The one will be more powerfull than the other.
Overall I think a two counsul government is not the best government system ever invented. The cons outweigh the pros, and history has proven to us that it just doesn't work.
Should common people be allowed to marry with the Nobility?
I think anyone should be able to marry with anyone, because God created everyone equal.
If you want to marry a commoner/royal, you have to realise that you have been brought up entirely different, this might cause some fights.
