Red Shift
Moving Away
When an object moves farther away the light is shifted to the red end of the spectrum as wavelengths get longer.
Moving Towards
When the wavelengths get shorter the object gets nearer and starts moving toward the Red Shift
Red Shift is a way astronomers use to tell the distance of any object is very far away in the universe. Subtle changes in starlight lets astronomers find planets, measure speed of galaxies and track expansion of the universe.
Red Shift is how light shifts toward longer and shorter wavelengths as objects in space move closer or farther away from us.

Steady State: A unchanging condition, system or physical process that remains the same even after a transformation or change
