are a group of hereditary conditions characterized by abnormal hair, teeth, fingernails and toenails, and sweat glands.

pathophysiology
is the abnormal morphogenesis of cutaneous and oral embryonal ectoderm (hair, nails, teeth, eccrine glands). also related to the absence or dysfunction of eccrine and mucous glands.
nursing intervention
discourage scratching and keep clients nails short
use tepid water with prescribed detergent only for bathing
immediately apply prescribed topical application only
administer antihistamine, antibiotics, and analgesics as prescribed
