The whole point of the torture devices was for rather punishing someone for something they have done or to get information that they needed, here I have a range of different methods they would've used in medieval times. All of these torture techniques were very gruesome and they would usually inflict pain until the human body won't be able to take it anymore but they would stretch out the pain to make it more agonizing.
The use of domestic animals would be to keep them on farms for their resources whether they would use it for clothes or food however, dogs were much more seen as a guard or sheepdog where they round up the sheep in a field and is such a more efficient way to be able to transport sheep's.
Because of the time they were limited by certain weapons they could make, considering that guns were a very new and very experimental thing back in the medieval times, One of the first recorded firearm was called the Heilongjiang Hand Cannon whereas the first properly designed gun was the Emperor Charles V’s Wheellock Pistol was created 40 years after the medieval period designed by Peter Peck.
The difference between a tool and a weapon is that a weapon would have the soul purpose to injure someone in such a way however, with tools they can also be a way to get resources, this could be anything to make a job more efficient so
Here are a few examples of jobs that were going around in medieval times, most of the jobs here were very essential to the community whether that was building houses, paving the floor, feeding the livestock, decorating the village. The only job I can think of that wasn't essential was an artist as people liked art so they always had work but was completely different from everyone else work.
These are the buildings you would usually see within a village, the different types of buildings would be for different purposes, some were for religious reasons and some were for storing stuff in for example the boathouses used to hold Viking Ships during the winter and any time they could not sail they would put the boats in these bays. They were usually built slightly back from the waterline. They were dug into the ground as well as built up.
This was a very memorable time in the medieval period, I feel like it would be really important to have some sort of reminiscence of the black plague within my scene. One thing to remember about the black plague is that it was passed by rats biting horses and other animals The disease was likely transmitted from rodents to humans by the bite of infected fleas.
Choosing the environment is one of the most important things within the project, Its why I included some of the most seen areas when we think and see medieval that is what I have mainly included and also what you would see within these areas, This will help me when it comes to my proposal as when I think of these ideas I can start to visualize the scene therefore hopefully making a better piece at the end of the project.
