Rocks
Metamorphic (high pressure or temperature causes the rocks to change either in texture or crystals.)

Sedimentary [over the years volcanic rocks were broken down by weathering (mállás és aprózódás). The small parts called debris (törmelék) were solved and deposited in the sea, then they compacted (összetömörödött) and turned into rock.]
-
Organic
limestone (Aggteleki-karst, Bakony)

Chemical
-
salt (Parajd -Romania, Salzburg -Austria)

Igneous (They originate inside the earth where they are under great pressure. They form when molten rock cools and solidifies (megszilárdul). Crystals form on cooling and the rocks are called crystalline rocks.)
-
Intrusive This type of rocks solidifies under the surface of the earth. They have time to solidify, so big minerals were formed. Each extrusive rock has its intrusive pair.
