CH 5 : RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES EMPLOYEES AND EMPLOYERS ACCORDANCE TO IRA 1967
SECTION 4 IRA (1967)
2) No trade union of workmen and no trade union of employers shall interfere
3) No employer or trade union of employers and no person acting on behalf of such employer or such TU
1) No person should interfere with restrain an employer to assist in the formation and to parcipate in its lawful activities

SECTION 5 (1)
No employer/TU and no person acting on behalf of an employer or TU shall
2) Refuse to employ any person on the ground that he is or is not a member or an officer on a trade union
3) Discriminate against any person in regarding to employment law, promotion any condition
1) Impose any condition in a contract of employment of restrain the right of person who is a party to the contract to joint TU
5) Induce a person to refrain from becoming or to cease to be a member or a TU officer
4) Dismiss or threaten a workmen to injure
RIGHTS OF THE UNION MEMBERS
Criteria of deciding whether to grant leave to the employees who apply for the above purposes
3) He must state the duration of such leave
4) He must state the purpose
2) He must apply in writing
5) The leave applied must not be longer than reasonably required
1) Workmen must be an officer
EMPLOYEES PROHIBITED ACIONS S7
No employees/TU and no person acting on behalf of an employer or TU shall
1) With employer consent, persuade at the employer's place of business during working hours
2) Intimidate any person to become or refrain to continue to be a member or officer of TU
3)Induce any person to refrain from becoming a member or officer of TU
Prohibition on certain acts
Intimidate a person to become a member / officer of TU for offering advantage
Persuade at the place of work during hours to join TU
SECTION 8 - Reference of complaint Industrial Court
(1) The Director General upon receiving any complaint under subsection (1) may fake such steps or make such enquiries as he considers necessary to resolve
(2) Upon receipt of a notification under subsection (2). The minister may, if he thinks fit refer to the complaint to the court of hearing
SECTION 5 IRA, No employer shall :
i. Prevent a worker from joining a union by putting condition in the employment contract.
ii. Refuse to employ a worker on the grounds he is TU member /officer
iii. Discriminate against a worker on the ground of TU member/ officer
iv. Threaten with dismissal/dismiss a worker who proposes to join a TU/ participates in union activities
