It's not much different to how we are taught on site

Favourite things about online learning
Socialising with the class online
It gives us something to do during Lockdown
We get to use technology all throughout the lessons
I like it when the teacher sets me a task and lets us get on with it
Don't have to go into college in the rain
You don't have to make a packed lunch
Lessons seem easier than they are in the class
You don't have to wear a mask at home
You get to manage your own time for acitivities
Other learners can be muted if they keep talking over others
The teacher can screen share all the materials for us to use
We like Google Classroom and it is really easy for us to use.
You can track your own progress really easily by clicking on 'marks'
Worst things about online learning
Home WIFI goes off
Spend ages in my room
It's easy to oversleep and be late to class
Distractions at home / family walk through the call all the time
Finding a quiet place at home to work
Need to know how to access all the work
You can lose your work on your home computer
Online distractions / YouTube
Need better equipment / TV / Computer / Tablet
I keep eating / drinking more junk food all day
Sometimes we get less support when we're not in the class because of everyone being in the call at the same time.

My experience of online learning was very positive because I managed to socialise with my peers for the first time in seven months which felt refreshing. I believe Tom handled the lessons with extreme precision but still made the lessons feel enjoyable at the exact same time.

I didn't get on well with the online learning at first but we found ways to get around it. Now I am comfortable with Google Classroom and Google Drive. I find it sort of easy now to do my work online and send it in.

I did a couple of the online classes with the Catering Department. We mostly looked at how to cut vegetables and which chopping boards are needed for different ingredients.

It was okay at the beginning of the year because we had lots to do online. I liked having the group chats with all my friends. Sometimes I had to shout to my mum that there was a parcel at the door. It was funny.

I thought lockdown was okay because we did fun activities like wreck this story. We swapped sentences to show how they can break a story if they are not done properly.

At the beginning of the year I had to use my phone to access the online stuff. This was good but I found it hard to send my work in. It got hard though because my phone battery kept dying and I didn't have a laptop for the first few weeks.

At the beginning I didn't know what I was doing. I was a bit nervous but it didn't take me long to learn all of the websites and passwords and get into the calls. At the end of the lockdown I was really good at getting online and sending in my work to [Tom].
