Protection of refugees
The 1951 Convention contains a number of rights and also highlights the obligations of refugees towards their host country.
The most important thing of the 1951 Convention was Article 33, which stated that no refugee should be returned to a country where she or he faces serious danger.

Refugee: Someone who has fled prosecution or conflict from their own country, causing them fear of returning due to safety reasons.
Asylum Seeker: A refugee who has applied for a protective status by the host government. An individual that has been granted asylum by the country is allowed to remain and is given certain rights.
