Would you recommend this novel to another? Why? /Why not? Yes I would recommend this book to another. Because people need to wake up and see how the real world is.I feel like this book would help people open their eyes to see how black african american are getting treated. This book is also very interesting to read. Trust me if you read this book you would not be bored for a couple of days until your done reading it.
What have you learned? How has your perspective been shaped by the author’s message? From reading this book I have learned some people on this earth are rasic. As a black african american I have to be aware of that anywhere I go. The author's message change my perspective by respecting cops if they come around me. Just because i'm a good person doesn't mean a cop looks at you that way. I will always stand on that, one day tell my kids then grandchildren that.
Based on your reading and analysis of the novel, what connections can you make
between the events in the text and other things from your life outside of school? I can relate to justyce getting profiled because i've been in a situation with a cop before. I was at my friends neighborhood pool to take his picture. The time was probably 9:00pm so the pool was close. Then One police officer pulled up got out and started talking to us. He was respectful and understood why we were there so he left us alone. Not all cops are like that so just have to thank god and keep moving forward.
