As the PE market grew in Europe so too did its presence in Jsy and it has increasingly been viewed as a key location to establish these vehicles
Investment advisers based in UK, Germany, Switzerland and Scandanivan countries have looked to Jsy in order to establish investment funds to pursue these opportunities creating and developing value, jobs and new business in the process
PE firms from countries including the Czech Republic, India and South Africa have created investment vehicles in Jsy
The increased demand for these investment structures over the years in Jsy have led to the need for the development of superior specialist services
Jsy enjoys highly respected leading admin service providers with strong eruptions globally offering both generic and bespoke services - these firms have also expanded their offerings to service structures established in other jurisdictions

The flexibility is attractive to some as the administrative burden and costs of incorporating the BVI are low
There is a strong availability of financial service providers supported by an array of skilled professionals like accountants, admins, lawyers and investment managers
In 2016 there has been considerable interest in smaller PE firms in the BVI. specially those who invest in emerging markets
Due to the low admin costs, start-up businesses in their early stages and seed financings are increasingly using BVI entities
Mauritius
There is an abundance of large international banks and accounting firms with a number of fund admins providing fund licensing and back office support services
PE funds in Africa are attracted by the technical, legal, accoutning skills and logistical support readily available in Mauritius compared to other parts of Africa
This results in a contribution of 10% to the country's GDP by the financial services sector
Like the BVI, the costs of administering PE funds in Mauritius is low compared to the costs in other jurisdictions
Well known institutions which have established funds in Mauritius include Standard Life, Goldman Sachs, Carlyle and Black Rock
Singapore
Growing in popularity in the PE market due to the stability of the Singapore economy and the connections to the Asian market
Some of the larger firms such as Blackstone Group and KKR have set up operation in Singapore, bolstering the already robust array of service providers found in the region
Currently there are about 102 PE fund managers headquarters based in Singapore and a further 144 globally who have secondary operations in Singapore
