Movie/Tv show soundtrack
Music changes the mood of a scene - if two characters are walking around in an abandoned house and "Mr Bluesky" is playing then it doesn't really create suspense
-
Many shows have a reoccuring theme that only happens during a certain point in the movie (Wonder Woman's new theme plays when she's ready to go all out during a fight)
Character dialogue
-
Some characters might have accents which also goes hand in hand with who they use slang. No two characters speak the same
Actors use emotion in their voice so they can set a certain atmosphere in the scene. Depending on the tone use a sentence can mean many different things (voice perception)
Foley
-
Can be used to enhance the sound of background noise of noise the director wants the audience to focus on (footsteps in snow or gravel, paper moving, pens on paper, ect)
Can also be used to replace speech that didn't come out well or grunts made by characters in fight scenes
Tony prefers jazz and older generations of music since he wears Black Sabbath shirts, owns many ACDC records
-
Miles is young so explores the music of his generation - he's an outgoing person and has a bright personality
-
To try and replicate the sound of human bones breaking in an ethical way, most Foley artists use crunchy food
-
Usually to enhance sound the same objects are used in the scene just ruffled and moved more to make the sound louder
