The SOP have been introduced by Government
Objectives
Movement control order or MCO is an order implemented as a preventive measure by the federal government in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
When was it implemented First MCO was implemented on 18th March 2020 and it is still carried on now as CMCO, RMCO and EMCO on certain areas and states.
Entailment of MCO
- Wear a mask, sanitize/wash hand regularly and social distancing in public area
- Avoid crowded place
- Temperature check and use "mysejahtera" apps before enter any premises

Penalties will be given to those who are not following SOP which cost RM1,000
Ban on all mass gatherings for religious, sport, social and cultural activities
All houses of worship and business premises will be closed, with the exception of supermarkets, public markets, and sundry and convenience shops which sell daily essentials.
All Malaysians will be banned from travelling overseas; while those recently returned from abroad must undergo health checks and self-quarantine for 14 days.
All foreign tourists will be banned from entering the country during this time.
Closure of all pre-schools, government and private schools including daily schools, residential schools, international schools, tahfiz centres and other primary, secondary and pre-university institutions.
All government and private sector premises will cease operating, with the exception of premises involved in the provision of essential services such as water, electricity, energy, telecommunications, post, transportation, irrigation, oil, gas, fuel and lubricants, broadcasting, finances, banking, health, pharmacies, fire and rescue, prisons, ports, airports, security, defence, public cleansing, retail and food supply.

Some people who came from abroad failed to quarantine and break the law. a lot of business owners are affected as they are facing huge losses from not operating over the MCO period.
