The Plot of Macbeth
1) After a victory in war, Macbeth and Banquo stopped by 3 witches
Say the Macbeth will rule one day, as well as Banquo's children
Lady Macbeth wants power, and convinces Macbeth to kill King Duncan for the throne
2) Lady Macbeth drugs the King's guards, and Macbeth stabs the king and kills him
Macduff finds King dead, Duncan's sons flee the country in a panic
Macbeth crowned king - he is haunted by his actions, and kills everyone who threatens him (beginning with Banquo - Fleance escapes)

4) a battle begins
Lady Macbeth kills herself, sending Macbeth into a depressive spiral
the prophecy comes true in battle - Macduff and Macbeth confront one another, and Macbeth is killed
