Green House Effect

The Green House Effect is a good thing

It keeps us warm, without it the atmosphere on our planet wouldn't be right for us to live on.

The Enhanced Green House effect is the bad thing.

Also known as Global Warming or Climate Change.

The suns rays come into the earths atmosphere and bounce of the earths surface. Most leaves the atmosphere but enough stays in but not too much because the o-zone is still quite thin.

This is when not enough of the suns rays can escape. Because the o-zone is to thick due to all the bad gases like CO2 or methane thickening the o-zone. This causes unnatural heating, it is to hot.

Renewable / Non-renewable Energy

Renewable Energy

  • Solar power/panels
  • Wind Turbines
  • Geothermal Energy
  • Hydroelectricity
  • Wave Energy
  • Bio-energy

Non-renewable Energy

  • Coal Mine
  • Natural Gas
  • Hydrogen
  • Oil Platform

Methane is released when you burn fossil fuels in non-renewable energy. Its bad because not enough solar rays can leave through the o-zone.

Plastics.

Land Based

80% of plastic bottles end up in landfill. It takes up to 1,000 years for the bottles to decompose.

Plastic does rot away, even when it is left in sunlight for long periods of time. It only breaks done into smaller pieces. This means that all plastic ever made is still on our earth.
