How, how, how, how? Chopped logic! What is this? “proud,” and “I thank you,” and “I thank you not,” and yet “not proud”? Mistress minion you, thank me no thankings, nor proud me no prouds, but fettle your fine joints 'gainst Thursday next to go with Paris to Saint Peter’s Church, or I will drag thee on a hurdle thither. Out, you green sickness, carrion! Out, you baggage! You tallow face." - Scene 5, Lines 148-158
Capulet yells at Juliet over the marriage and is saying how no matter what she wants, she will marry Paris even if he has to drag her there. The wife, nor Juliet, can do anything about it. This shows the power that men had over women and how women are expected to obey the orders of the men in their lives. This negatively impacts the lives of women as it infringes upon their voice and freedoms. Additionally, the audience can further sympathize and understand the context and scale of Juliet's predicament.
