Define Civics: The study of citizen rights and responsibilities and how the government works
Define Citizenship: Status of a person who legally lives in an area or country
What is democracy?
Democracy is a system of government that is run by the people for the people

Direct:Citizens who directly vote on issues than electing someone
Representative: Citizens elect representatives to make laws on their behalf

Define: The things that citizens are entitled to
Example: You have the right to a education

Define: The things that citizens need to do
Example: You have the responsibility to go to school
