It was located to the South of old Mesopotamia

Their gods were: the sun, the moon, rivers, and trees.
Its capital was Babylon
Its agricultural wealth was based on the control of technology to control floods

Persian Empire
Location:
It occupied the present territory of Iran, and extended immensely from northern Greece to the Indus, including Thrace, the Middle East, Asia Minor and the Caucasus.
Characteristics:
Its army was one of the most powerful of antiquity. The king had a personal army of 10,000 soldiers, known as "THE IMMORTAL"
It became a weak empire after losing a war against Greece
