Definition
A troublesome condition in which the brittle nails split easily and become cracked, chipped or even peeled (Bhattacharya, S, & Mishra, R. K. 2015).

Pathophysiology
• Split nails is usually caused by physical stress, nutrient deficiency or wear and tear (Bhattacharya, S, & Mishra, R. K. 2015).
