Hot, glowing spheres of gas. Differ in luminosity, mass, temperature, composition and size. Stars can be classified from anything ranging from a dwarf to a supergiant. In past times people would look to the stars for knowledge and classify some of them as constellations which could relate to stories. Average mass stars last far longer than supergiants, but supergiants go out with a violent show. Depending on the temperature and compositon, stars will be different colors.
