*When they compete,for pride of their own race instead of competing one nation*The government felt that the different races needed to integrate so that a more harmonious society can be created*National Sports Council of Malaysia had to be a main reponsible to integrate the different races to compete in a more common sport enjoyed by all races
*Nasionalism & sports appeared to work in the same direction with one promoting the other*National sports were given more emphasis in the effort to stablish a national identity*In most competitive sports,when Malaysia represented their nation, they were considered to be contributing to nationalism
*Develop the spirit of nasionalism & national integration among multi racial group*Sport & nasionalism also will unite multi racial society in Malaysia (Malay,Indian & Chinese)*National Sport Policy- Sports have develop spirit of nasionalisme among existing racial in Malaysia

OBJECTIVE OF OCM
To develop & protect the Olympic Movement & to promote the fundamental principle of Olympism through sport activity and education

To select & enter atletes for the Olympic, Asian, Sea and Commonwealth Games and world regional multi sports competition

To facilitate exchanges between the OCM and its members with other National Olympic Committee and IFs
