Matter: is the stuff that makes up the universe, everything that takes up space and has mass is considered matter.
Physical Properties
Volume: Is the amount of space occupied by a substance. The formula for volume is density = mass/volume, the unit of volume is cubic meter (m^3)
Density: Mass of a unit volume of a material substance. The formula for density is d=M/V. Density is commonly expressed in units of grams per cubic centimeter.
Mass: A measure of the amount of matter in an object. The formula for mass is Substance = volume x density

Mixture: Matter consisting of two or ore pure substances that retain their individual identities and can be separated by physical methods.
Homogeneous Mixture: Mixture having a uniform composition and properties throughout (also called a solution) Ex: Coffee
Heterogeneous: Mixture not uniform in composition and properties throughout. Ex: Oil and Water
