Despite the Russians, they have a larger army than the Germans. but they lost the battle showing the world that they were not strong so they destroyed their economy
On March 4, 1917 (it was February 24 for them because they used the Julian calendar) the 30,000 workers of the largest factory in the city, demanded salary increases so that they could keep well on the economic side.
They did not have work to earn money, they did not have food on March 8, they helped each other among the workers, Nicholas II thought there would only be small demonstrations, so he left the city to inspect his troops.
He left his government unprotected so the people took the opportunity to destroy the police intervened obeying orders from Nicolas II, defending his government so many people died at that time.
On March 9, the Duma asked Nicholas II to deliver emergency supplies to calm the rioters as they were causing a lot of chaos in others, he refused then this aroused even more the fury of the people, Nicholas II blamed the Duma and told them that they could no longer meet.
