Objectives
MS-LS1-2. Students can explain how a cell function.
MS-LS1-2. Students can label the different parts of a cell
MS-LS1-2. Students can define the different organelles of a cell.
Procedure
Students will be reading a certain topic from their daily notes and answering mini quiz questions at the end of each day as homework.
Students will read couple of pages from the biology textbook that is explaining the functions of the organelles that is inside the cells.
If students are given a test or project, they will be asked to label and define the different organelles.
Cooperative Learning
In one of the days in the five-day period, students will be doing lab rotations where they can read, draw, and write about the different parts of the cell. In one of the rotations, the teacher can show a replica cell where they have students name the organelles of a cell.
Assessment
Students will be taking a quiz at the end of the lesson where the test will be on paper and they will be labeling and defining the organelles of a cell. When students define the function of a organelle they must explain it in their own words.
Lesson Overview
Students will be understanding the nine organelles that makes the cell to function
