IT Infrastructure Architecture
A firm’s digital plumbing
used by all line functions
Includes the networks through which data travels and apps are linked
The hardware on which apps run and store data
A firm-wide arrangement
eg: computers, tablets, servers and storage devices
App Architecture
A software programs that undergird the functionality of a hardware device
Such as a PC, smartphone, tablet, cash register, or other Internet-connected devices
e.g: a thermostat, camera or car systems
CLOUD
All heavy lifting is done on the serve side
eg: Siri
CLIENT-SERVER
Centralizes only data, clients do heavy lifting
PEER-TO-PEER
No central server to every client performs all app function
Recommended only for scale hungry apps that demand to control
