Glycolysis is an anaerobic process that occurs in the cytoplasm outside of a cell. It breaks down, energizes, and oxidizes glucose through the use of multiple enzymes ATP and NAD+, in order to create 4ATP and pyruvate, which is transferred inside the cell for cell respiration
