Physics
Forces
A non-contact force is a force that acts without contact, like gravity and magnetism.
A contact force is a force that requires contact to occur. Types of contact force are frictional force and applied force.
A force is measured by a newtonmeter, and the unit of a force is: N
Density
What is density?
It is figured out my dividing the mass by the volume. D= mass over volume
Speed
To work out the speed of something, you must divide the distance it covers by the time it takes to cover that distance. That is how you figure out the speed. V=speed over time
Density is the mass of 1cm3 of stuff.
The density of pure water is 1.0g/cm3
Anything with a larger density of 1.0g/cm3 will sink.
Variables
3 Effects a force can have on something:
Changing somethings direction
Making something accelerate
Changing somethings shape
The control variable is the thing you keep the same
The dependent variable is the thing you measure
The independent variable is the thing you change
