People losing there jobs and thus not having money to eat or live is a threat to humanity's well being
-
EVIDENCE:
-OECD 2018 report estimates 30% of UK jobs being at very high risk
-About 1 in 2 jobs will be affected by automation
AI is not aware of ethics and morals and will act in unknown ways when presented with a situation they have never encountered
-
-
REBUTTAL: Human error is necessary to grow and improve as a species. You are taking away the trial in trial and error
-
EVIDENCE: Penicillin, the pacemaker. microwaves, x-rays :
-
Rebuttal: Isn't getting rid of emotions against what makes us human and thus against our well being as a species?
-
Examples: Natural disaster relief, radiation fires, chemical spills

AI could easily be designed with the intention of hurting and harming humanity. This type of weaponry could be more destructive than anything we have ever known.
Self-learning AI could easily "evolve" past its initial programming and the need for humanity as a whole
REBUTTAL: There is a very small chance of this. There is a risk with any new development in technology. We can't prohibit it just because there is a risk that it could hurt people. There will virtually always be some way to shut down AI
-
EVIDENCE:
-Positive Intermittent reinforcement
- Dopamine makes social media drug-like in many aspects
-Snapchat Dysmorphia
-Increase in BDD
-"Deactivation caused small but significant
improvements in well-being, and in particular in self-reported happiness, life satisfaction, depression, and anxiety"
-Our overall index of political polarization fell by 0.16 standard deviations
-
REBUTTAL: While it may temporarily be costly and displace workers, in relation to the future and stability of humanity the benefits outweigh the costs.
-
-
REBUTTAL: Couldn't AI provide jobs as well? (Cell phones displaced email workers and home phone line companies, but also provided tons of jobs)
-
EVIDENCE: (MEDICAL FIELD) 1. 100% or close to it accurate medical diagnosis 2. Drug development 3. Surgical treatment 4. Studies have already shown that AI more correctly diagnosed suspicious skin lesions 5. Identifying pulmonary tuberculosis
