industrial revolution.
During the agricultural and industrial revolution in Britain the
population doubled
. Irish immigrants played a key role in that.
It was
costly and difficult
to travel to
America
but
opportunities
were bigger.
In the USA Irish immigrants worked
manual labor
jobs and suffered severe
discrimination
.
