voluntary: the migration of people is a choice by the person migrating

forced: the migration of people happens when peole are forced to move

chain: migration of people to a specific location because relatives previously migrated there

transnational: process of movement and settlement across international borders (might adapt to the culture)

step: when a person has a set destination in mind, however, the person will stop at different locations along the way (travel process)

guest worker: a worker who migrated to a country in search of a higher paying job

transhumance: it is the seasonal movement of livestock between 2 locations

interregional: when a person moves from one region of a country to another region

intraregional: when a person moves within a region (from city to rural and vice versa)
