It all started with a post on 30th June 2020.
After the update was made to inform movie-goers of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) after Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that movie theatres can reopen again.
Then the cinemas were scheduled to reopen their doors on 1st of July, 2020 after more than three months of idleness.

As part of the effort to cascade the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and best practice to movie-goers, the social media page was the only channel to communicate the DO’s and DON’Ts to a larger audience.
Social distancing is also a priority to GSC, the movie chain also came up with the funny tagline ‘HELLO. CANNOT.’ that has garnered 49,000 likes from users.
GSC Admin has opted to start a serious topic with a Malaysian-recognized tone, a tone your parents would definitely love to imitate.
The quick HELLO. CANNOT. replies by #GSCAdmin in most of the comments started to attract more likes and chain of comments.
Due to the overwhelming reaction by netizens who really liked the sass shown by GSC, the movie theatre quickly seized on the opportunity.
‘HELLO. CANNOT.’ has proven to be so catchy that GSC has started selling their in-house shirts, tote bag, face mask, cap etc. with the tagline that have been selling like hot cakes.
After they have found out there is the high demand of 'HELLO. CANNOT.' t-shirt from consumers, GSC is then started to invent new taglines and product which is about Covid-19 in types of t-shirt, toddle bags, face mask, pouch, etc. For example, 'Keep Your Distance', 'Ketua Rumah', 'Spread Love, Not Germs', 'We are All Special'.
GSC has develop their own online platform named #KeepSake to sell those merchandise and movie merchandise. They also have a partnership with Lazada to create a flagship store for selling the items.
Besides, GSC has set up a physical pop-up stall on 28th November 2020 at Mid Valley Megamall to promote the latest #GSCAdmin merchandise and fresh popcorn.
