Photosynthesis - Coggle Diagram
Photosynthesis
Calvin cycle
- Carbon Fixation - CO2 molecules enter the cycle from the atmosphere. They do this through stomata. The enzyme Rubisco combines RuBP with CO2.
- Reduction - ATP and NADPH from the thylakoid make 3-carbon molecules called G3P.
- Regeneration - The remaining 3-carbon are converted back into 50carbon. This is RuBH.
-
Water
In photosynthesis, water and carbon dioxide into hi-energy carbohydrates and starches
-
Pigments - absorb only certain wavelengths and reflect all the others Chlorophyll is the primary pigment in photosynthesis
-
Thylakoids are arranged in stacks known as grana.
Thylakoids are surrounded by a liquid called stroma. The thylakoid membrane organizes chlorophyll into clusters. These clusters are called
photosystems.
