RENEWABLE AND NON-RENEWABLE SOURCES OF ENERGY - Coggle Diagram
RENEWABLE AND NON-RENEWABLE
SOURCES OF ENERGY
NON RENEWABLE ENERGY
COAL
Coal is a combustible black with a high amount of carbon and hydrocarbons. It is consireded non renewable energy because it takes millions of years to form. Coal contains the energy stored by plants
PETROLEUM
Petroleum is a naturally occurring liquid. It can be refined into fuel. Petroleum products include transportation fuels for the electricity generation. It is used for practically everything we use.
NUCLEAR
Nuclear energy is usually considered another non-renewable energy source. is a clean and efficient way of boiling water to make steam. The turns turbines produce electricity
NATURAL GAS
Is a mixture of gases which are very rich in hydrocarbons. All the gases that use, like, nitrogen or carbon dioxide, are naturally found in atmosphere. They are extracted while processing of natural gas.
RENEWABLE
MARINE ENERGY
Are all the forms of renewable energy derived from the sea. There are three types of ocen technology: wave, tidal and ocean thermal. Irleandhas one of the greatest ocean energy resources in the world.
BIOMASS
Renewable energy from plants and animals, is renewable organic material that comes from plants and animals Plants produce biomass through photosynthesis. We use 4 types of biomass, wood and agricultural products, solid waste, landfill gas and biogas and alcohol fuels.
WIND ENERGY
Is the process of creating electricity using the wind. Modern wind turbines are used to capture kinetic energy from the wind and generate electricity.
GEOTHERMAL ENERGY
Geothermal is the heat within the earth. Geothermal energy is a renewable energy source because it heats continuously inside the earth. People use this geothermal for generate electricity or heat buldings among others
SOLAR ENERGY
Solar power is energy from the sun that is converted into thermal or electrical energy. Is the cleanest and most abundant energy. A lot of people nowadays is replacing nonrenewable energy with Solar energy.
HYDRO POWER ENERGY
Is the application of hydropower to create or generate electricity. The power of it is created from the moving water such us rivers.
