Most Important Character

Truly the most important character plot wise is Laura: Without Laura, there is no conflict, tom would be sailing the seas writing about his adventures, Amanda would be fantasizing about her past with no guilt. That is why I believe that Laura is the most important character

There is no main character , I believe that the true main character is the one you relate with the most . This is because of Tennessee Williams's masterful playwriting abilities there's multiple stories overlapping. There's a story about a girl with intense social anxiety overcoming her fears, a story about a freespirit breaking free, and a story about a mother giving the utmost love to her kids

The Glass Unicorn is extremely fragile just like Laura's mental state.

Mother is a faded southern belle

Uses movies as escape

The Unicorn's horn represents Laura's uniqueness and her rare traits.

The breaking of the Horn on the Unicorn symbolizes, how after Laura has been kissed by Jim, she has lost what has made her unique

The most crucial moment of the Glass Menagerie is the moment in which Jim reveals that he a taken man. This causes laura to become extremely broken and Jim to abandon the family.
